To promote knowledge, tolerance and creativity, Getz Pharma sponsored the Eqbal Ahmed Center for Public Education (EACPE) Video Competition at the 7th Karachi Literature Festival (KLF), held from February 5-7, 2016 This competition encouraged aspiring videographers and enthusiasts to prepare short videos on important social issues such as marine pollution, earthquakes, and child labor to spread awareness about the natural environment and global issues.
Our Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Khalid Mahmood, attended the event to encourage learning, literature and social change, and presented awards to the winners. First prize was awarded to Azhar Shan and Ayoub Mallah for ‘Sobbing Sea’, a gripping video on marine pollution; second prize was awarded to Maria Rubab for ‘Zalzalay’ which described how to prepare for an earthquake; and third prize was awarded to Bilal Asmat for ‘Future’ which dealt with the issue of child labor.
