Getz Pharma organized a screening of the film Bombay Velvet at its auditorium on January 5, 2016 for employees and corporate guests. The screening was also attended by the distinguished international guests of the Asian Cities Conference which was taking place in Karachi during those days. Attendees included Mr Gyan Prakash, an eminent history professor at Princeton University, who adapted his book Bombay Fables into Bombay Velvet. The audience appreciated and enjoyed the chance to watch the period crime-drama film alongside its scriptwriter.
The esteemed Dr Framji Minwalla, Associate Professor and Program Director of Communication Studies and Design at Habib University, presided over the event. A question and answer session gave viewers an opportunity to discuss their views and share their thoughts on the movie, while a round of refreshments gave them the opportunity to informally interact with Mr Prakash.
