The Karigar Training Institute is a nonprofit, skills based training institute which enables youth from less privileged sections of the society to become economically independent. Each quarter, approximately 50 members from the Karigar Training Institute visit Getz Pharma to participate in workshops and tour the facility and plant.
As part of its CSR initiatives to provide education and skill building opportunities, Getz Pharma has been contributing towards promoting and facilitating technical skill building and training of young men and women in a collaborated effort with the Karigar Training Institute. Qualified trainees can also apply for internships within the technical departments to create a bridge between skilled individuals and the industry.
Since 2010, this collaboration actively responds to the growing need for specialized technical skills, while at the same time enabling the trainees to become productive members in the society and breadwinners for their families.
