World Diabetes Day 2025: Getz Pharma’s Commitment to Awareness, Prevention, and Care

Getz Pharma took meaningful steps to bring awareness, education, and support to its employees, communities, and partners worldwide.

  • Pakistan: Getz Pharma organized a Diabetes Awareness Session at its head office. The session emphasizes the importance of awareness, prevention, and effective management of diabetes.
    The session featured an esteemed panel of experts, Prof. Dr. Tasmin Ahsan, Prof. Dr. Abdul Basit, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Jilani, Prof. Dr. Musarrat Riaz, and Prof. Dr. Tassaduq Khan. They shared their profound insights on creating a healthier and more informed work environment. They shared practical insights on creating healthier workplaces, emphasizing prevention, early detection, and effective management of diabetes, encouraging employees to take charge of their health while fostering supportive work environments.
  • Myanmar: Team Myanmar joined educational sessions organized by the Myanmar Diabetes Association and Victoria Hospital, reaching over 200 participants with vital diabetes care knowledge.
  • Uzbekistan: Employees engaged in risk screenings, early detection programs, and community outreach, including a heartwarming celebration for children living with Type 1 Diabetes. Participants dressed in blue to show solidarity under the global symbol of diabetes awareness.
  • Cambodia: Team Cambodia conducted diabetes screenings for employees, along with an awareness session, to promote wellness and empower staff with expert knowledge.
  • Iraq: The ‘Wiqaya’ initiative brought free diabetes screening services to 13 cities, where more than 150 patients per city received personalized guidance, educational resources, and lifestyle advice.
  • Kenya: Activities included wellness clinics, webinars, CME sessions on diabetes management, and public screenings at KUTRRH in Nairobi, empowering employees and communities with knowledge and preventive tools.
  • Nigeria: Getz Pharma Nigeria conducted diabetes screenings, health awareness walks, and impactful diabetes awareness activations across 8 regions in Nigeria. Committed to raising awareness, we continue to empower communities to lead healthier lives.
  • Sri Lanka: Employees participated in national diabetes walks, health camps, and international congresses, engaging with healthcare professionals and the public to strengthen awareness, prevention, and early detection efforts.
