The 6th Annual All-Karachi Korangi Baloch Challenge Cup was held at the Sharafi Goth football ground in Korangi, Karachi, in May 2016. More than 30 talented and highly competitive teams took part in the competition, with All Brothers Football Club Malir emerging victorious.
Getz Pharma employees, including senior management, attended the opening and closing matches of the tournament, with Mr Khalid Mahmood, MD and CEO Getz Pharma also present at the event, to support participation by the youth in such healthy extracurricular activities. The matches were also generously attended by members of the community, who were eager to support their local teams.
Since its inception, the tournament has been sponsored by Getz Pharma as a part of its CSR initiatives to support and uplift local communities and youth development through the promotion of education and healthy recreational activities. Getz Pharma believes that sports activities like these are not only physically and mentally healthy, but also contribute towards personality and skill development in the youth, which amidst more prominent ventures and projects, remains a segment with a lot of opportunity.
