Getz Pharma supports Healthcare Institutions

Getz Pharma takes on large support projects but understands that often, the undertaking of many small projects is valuable too.

In 2013-2014, Getz Pharma undertook a project to reduce crowding and inconvenience to patients and attendants by providing new seating at the reception of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology in Lahore. In the same time period, under the project titled NICVD Emergency Reception Uplift, we refurbished the Emergency Department at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), in Karachi.

The Punjab Institute of Cardiology’s Out Patient Department (OPD) examines more than 160,000 patients annually. This number continues to rise while investment in the infrastructure to cater to their needs has not kept up. Consequently, often the elderly would have to stand on their feet for hours before being attended to. With the intervention by Getz Pharma, the hospital is far more comfortable and patients already suffering from serious ailments do not need to exert themselves.

The CSR initiative at NICVD has brought a positive impact in the form of immediate relief to patients, as well as the healthcare providers who face reduced infrastructural constraints. The institution delivering valuable healthcare can continue providing quality service with fewer impediments. Through such initiatives, Getz Pharma continues to make a sustainable impact on the lives of millions of Pakistanis every day.
