Continuing with its commitment in contributing towards the development of the health industry of Pakistan, Getz Pharma organized Practice 360o, a two-day fast track clinical and leadership program for Resident Medical Officers and Post Graduate Trainees, on 31st May and 1st April, 2018.
The theme of the event was ‘Enhancing Clinical Leadership’ and was held in the simulation based facility of the Center for Medical Innovation in Education (CIME) at Agha Khan University (AKU) and state-of-the-art Auditorium at Getz Pharma. Over 150 doctors were invited from all over Pakistan to participate, learn and network to exchange views and information.
The two-day extensive program was filled with learning opportunities through practical exposure and engagement activities. Sessions featured renowned speakers and doctors from Pakistan, including Professor M. Saeed Minhas, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Center and Jinnah Sind Medical University, Karachi, and Professor Charles Docherty, Director CIME, Agha Khan University, Karachi.
First day of the program involved full day training sessions at CIME where the doctors were exposed to clinical simulation to get hands on experience on how to deal with real life cases. The participants were then hosted at Marina Club for an exclusive gala dinner and musical night to give them a warm welcome in Karachi.
The next day, the participants visited Getz Pharma’s corporate facility where they were given career counseling workshops at the facility’s state-of-the-art auditorium and taken for a facility tour to show our internationally accredited labs and manufacturing facility.
This exposure will give the doctors the skills and confidence in diagnosing and treating their patients, and help them in becoming physician leaders of tomorrow.
